We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative digital design engineer with strong knowledge of FPGA development flow.

Main Responsibilities:

  • HDL designs on LTE/5GNR hardware platforms (definition, development, implementation)
  • Selection, evaluation and integration of third-party IP blocks
  • Support hardware/software team in system level testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
  • Perform architecture/design documentation, troubleshooting guides
  • Provide technical support

About You:

  • BS/MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent relevant experience
  • Familiarity with of Intel/Xilinx devices and tools (especially Intel Arria 10 SX)
  • Familiarity with ModelSim
  • FPGA digital design (VHDL/Verilog) skills: writing RTL code, functional simulation, debugging, synthesis, timing closure, hands-on integration and verification in a lab environment
  • Defining floor planning, synthesis and place&route optimization, timing closure, and related design constraints
  • Enhancing and maintaining existing SERDES PHY IPs supporting multiple protocols
  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing, DSP modeling, and hardware realizations
  • Collaborating with Hardware/Software/Systems/Integration Radio development teams, to understand overall product requirements and drive optimal solution
  • Generation of FPGA documentation for assigned FPGA subsystem as per departmental practice
  • Strong experience in writing block-level test-cases including constrained directed random tests
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, processors such as ARM, Microblaze and NIOS; familiarity with software (Linux, bare-metal) is required
  • Knowledge of analog, linear and mixed-signal circuit fundamentals and devices
  • Exposure to electronics measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, multimeters
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Analytical mindset, high capacity, results-oriented, and the ability to deliver under pressure
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team during development

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of wireless systems and 3GPP specifications; knowledge of LTE/5GNR signal processing flow is a plus
  • Mathematical analysis experience using Matlab or similar
  • Strong theoretical and practical background in high-speed serializer and data recovery circuits
  • MSEE plus a minimum of 10 years of digital design and verification experience in the industry
