We are looking for an Intern to produce high-quality documentation to aid in the overall success
of our products. The ideal coop/intern writer should be pursuing a university or college program
focused in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Writing or Communications.
The Technical Writer Intern will:
- Work collaboratively with software developers, quality engineers, hardware engineers,
project managers, and customer support teams to help craft documentation that is easy
to understand. - Participate in weekly meetings to understand the workflow and the weekly deliverables.
- Update product manuals and guides to keep them current with each new release or
change. - Craft documents or templates for new products or releases.
- Assist in managing items on Confluence and Jira.
About you:
- You are a highly self-motivated individual with an ability to learn new technologies
quickly. - You have a basic understanding of broadband access equipment, preferably wireless.
- You have excellent communication skills – able to translate complex subject matter into
easy-to-understand pieces that are compelling. - You can work independently or as part of a team.
- You are a creative problem solver with strong attention to detail.
- You can quickly connect the dots and see the big picture.
Your skills and experience:
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Word.
- Familiar with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge of LTE systems is an asset.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
